The Academic Learning Center offers training for tutors in all disciplines across campus.

Our tutors must be recommended by professors. A tutor does not need to be majoring in the discipline, but must have earned an A or B in the course.

We require two one-credit courses that include class hours and also supervised tutoring hours. Once the student has completed the course plus twenty-five hours of tutoring, the College Reading and Learning Association will approve a certificate to the tutor.

Our program earned College Reading and Learning Association certification in 2011.
