Directions to Atwood Memorial Center & Parking Ramp

I-94 from Minneapolis (from east)

  • Take the first St. Cloud exit (County Road 75) and continue until you reach Washington Memorial Drive.
  • Turn right onto Washington Memorial Drive and continue to the first stoplight at the intersection of 10th Street (University Drive).
  • Turn right on 10th Street (University Drive) and continue to the roundabout and continue through the roundabout onto 5th Avenue South (3rd exit from roundabout)
  • Turn right on 6th Street and continue to 4th Avenue. Take a left on 4th Avenue (parking ramp is directly on your right).
  • To continue to Atwood, stay on 6th Street and Atwood Center is two blocks more on the right.

I-94 from the west:

  • Take the first St. Cloud exit (Highway 23).
  • Follow the directions for "Highway 23 from the west" below.

Highway 23 from the east:

  • Continue west on HIghway 23 across the Mississippi River until the first stoplight after the bridge. This is the intersection of 5th Avenue South.
  • Turn left 5th Avenue South and continue about 5 blocks to 6th Street.
  • Turn left on 6th Street and continue to 4th Avenue. Take a left on 4th Avenue (parking ramp is directly on your right).
  • To continue to Atwood, stay on 6th Street and Atwood Center is two blocks more on the right.

Highway 23 from the west:

  • Go all the way to downtown St. Cloud and take a right on 5th Avenue.
  • Continue on 5th Avenue until you reach 6th Street (about 5 blocks).
  • Turn left on 6th Street and continue to 4th Avenue. Take a left on 4th Avenue (parking ramp is directly on your right).
  • To continue to Atwood, stay on 6th Street and Atwood Center is two blocks more on the right.

Highway 10 from Brainerd/Little Falls (from the north):

  • Take the Highway 23/St. Cloud exit.
  • Continue west on HIghway 23 across the Mississippi River until the first stoplight after the bridge. This is the intersection of 5th Avenue South.
  • Turn left 5th Avenue South and continue about 5 blocks to 6th Street.
  • Turn left on 6th Street and continue to 4th Avenue. Take a left on 4th Avenue (parking ramp is directly on your right).

Highway 10 from Minneapolis (from the east):

  • Same as from Brainerd/Little Falls

Highway 15 from the south:

  • Follow Highway 15 into St. Cloud to the second stoplight.  This is the intersection of Highway 15 and Highway 23 (Division Street).  Turn right on Highway 23 and follow all the way towards downtown St. Cloud and until you have to take a right on 5th Avenue. 
  • Continue on 5th Avenue until you reach 6th Street (about 5 blocks).
  • Turn left on 6th Street and continue to 4th Avenue. Take a left on 4th Avenue (parking ramp is directly on your right).
  • To continue to Atwood, stay on 6th Street and Atwood Center is two blocks more on the right.

Highway 15 from the north:

  • Follow Highway 15 into St. Cloud until you reach Highway 23 (Division Street).  Turn left on Highway 23 and follow all the way towards downtown St. Cloud and until you have to take a right on 5th Avenue.

Parking

Visitor Parking Information

Parking for visitors to the St. Cloud State University campus is available at the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp, located at 516 Fourth Avenue South, just north of the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center. 

  • Parking ramp fees are $1.00 per hour up to 8 hours. Max fee per 24-hours is $8.00.
  • Fully automated, the ramp accepts credit cards, debit cards and cash.

The ramp also accepts Campus Card, with a minimum campus cash balance of $8.00 upon entry.

If you pay with cash, take your white ticket with you when you leave your vehicle and use the walk-up pay station located in the Parking Ramp stairwell before heading back to your vehicle. You will need your receipt from this transaction to activate the Parking Ramp exit gates.

If you pay with credit/debit/campus card, either scan your card or take a white ticket upon ramp entry. to exit the ramp, use the drive-up pay station located at the parking ramp exit gates. scan your card again or insert your white ticket followed by your credit/debit/campus card.

At each pay station and entrance/exit gate there is 24-hour intercom access to the Public Safety Center where live assistance is available.

Visitors may also park in any of the pay lots which include:

  • South pay lot: Fees are $1.00 per hour. Enforced 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday. No overnight parking on weekdays (3 a.m.-7 a.m. Monday-Thursday).Lot is not enforced on weekends (3 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Monday). South Pay Lot is enforced 52 weeks of the year.
  • Husky pay lot: Fees are $1.00 per hour, enforced 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday. No overnight parking on weekdays (3 a.m.-7 a.m. Monday-Thursday).Lot is not enforced on weekends (3 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Monday).
  • Husky Pay Lot is enforced 52 weeks of the year.
  • Miller Pay Lot: Fees are $1.00 per hour, limited to one hour parking. You must return to the pay station and pay an additional $1.00 after each hour. Enforced 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday. No overnight parking on weekdays (3 a.m.-7 a.m. Monday-Thursday).Lot is not enforced on weekends (3 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Monday). Miller Pay Lot is enforced 52 weeks of the year.

Street parking also is available, but check street signs to be sure a city permit is not required. All campus streets are under the jurisdiction of the city of St. Cloud.
