Appointment Policies as of April 2015

Late Policy for appointments with staff:

If you are going to be late, please call our office at 320-308-2151 to notify us as soon as possible.

If you are more than 10 minutes late, without informing our office, you will need to reschedule the appointment. No exceptions.

No Show/Late Cancellation Policy for appointments with staff:

If you fail to show up for numerous scheduled appointments, or excessively cancel your appointments within an hour of the scheduled appointment time, you may not be permitted to schedule additional appointments in the future.

No Show/Late Cancellation Policy for appointments or interviews with employers

If a candidate must cancel their appointment or interview within 24 hours of the interview date and/or does not show-up for the scheduled interview, the candidate will be required to write a letter of apology to the scheduled interviewer. Access to SCSUCareers.com will be wirthdrawn until this letter is written and a copy sent to the Career Center. A second violation will result in the termination of a candidate's access to SCSUCareers.com until the candidate has met with a designated member of the Career Center staff. More detailed information about this policy is included in emails to students when they schedule an appointment or interview with employers.

Alumni:

All alumni up to 12 months out after graduation have access to all of our services.

Any other alumni out 12 months or longer, have unlimited access to our services, with the exception of individual counseling appointments. All alumni are welcome to attend all events, including participating in on-campus interviewing, workshops, fairs, and access to scsucareers.com job posting system. Fees may be charged for assessments and other events where applicable.

The MN Workforce Center is a great resource for our alumni!

Prospective Students/Graduate Students:

The Career Center primarily serves current students and alumni. If you are looking for information on majors, please contact the Office of Admissions at 320-308-3981 or the School of Graduate Studies at 320-308-2113 so they can inform you about all of the programs of study we currently offer. If you have already spoken with one of those offices, you can learn more about majors, careers and take a free career assessment.

Faculty and Staff:

We occasionally get requests to meet with faculty or staff members. Since our obligation is to meet with our current students and alumni, we are unable to meet with faculty or staff individually. Faculty and staff are welcome to attend our events, including workshops, fairs and access to scsucareers.com job posting system. Fees may be charged for assessments and other events where applicable.
