All students – doctoral, graduate and undergraduate – should apply for graduation one semester prior to their final semester.
Students must apply for graduation in order to be eligible for commencement.
Summer graduates may choose to walk in the spring (May) prior to their graduation or the fall (December) following the graduation term. Mark "summer" on your graduation application and indicate your commencement preference on that application.
In order for a graduate's name to be in the Commencement program, applications must be received at least four weeks prior to that term's commencement ceremony.
