The online learning program at St. Cloud State University is designed for students who desire the flexibility of studying anytime, anyplace without the time and distance constraints of attending class on campus.
The online education experience at SCSU will be as rigorous as the on campus experience. Many online courses at SCSU are taught by the same faculty who teach the on campus courses. The textbook and in class resources are usually the same in online and on campus courses. Some online course will have one or more face-to-face meetings on campus or at an off campus site. These are identified in the special notes section of the course enrollment system.
SCSU Online offers over 200 undergraduate and graduate courses each fall, spring and summer semester. At the undergraduate level we offer degrees in community psychology, criminal justice and the self-select option of the Bachelors in Elective studies. Whether or not an individual student will be able to complete one of these undergraduate degrees entirely online depends on a variety of factors. Students must meet with an SCSU academic advisor to determine if online completion is possible. Students interested in the Bachelors in Elective Studies should meet with the BES Advisor. Students interests in one of the other options should meet with an advisor from the Academic Advising Center.
