Medical Technology Quality at SCSU

The master of MTQ graduate program offers students the necessary knowledge and skills to manage product design, how to create and maintain quality systems that will meet industry standards, and integrate them into various business models. Students learn how risk management is applied to all elements of a quality system. How new products are developed and brought to market, and how to design and maintain supplier systems. In addition, there are case studies related to systems review, process validations, corrective and preventive actions, and the required appropriate documentation for those systems.

Graduates will have the knowledge and competencies essential for senior-level engineering and management in quality, design, and operation disciplines and high-level systems support for the quality elements required by the US FDA’s Quality System Regulations (QSR) and ISO standards for medical devices. They will also learn effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Medical Technology Quality is a STEM-designated graduate program.
