Vehicle Assistance

Jump-start service

Public Safety provides free 24-hour vehicle “jump-start” assistance on campus. If needed, the campus “blue-light” phones may be used to request this support, or contact Public Safety dispatch, 320-308-3333, at any time. Our success rate for this service is over 75%. In instances where a dead battery is not the problem, we provide support by helping you contact assistance for your disabled vehicle; and, we can help you address parking-related concerns in the meantime.

Lock-out

In the case of a lock-out situation, Public Safety cannot perform locksmith services due to liability and safety concerns.

Vehicle accidents

In the case of a vehicular accident on-campus (University parking lots), please contact Public Safety dispatch, 320-308-3333, immediately. An officer will assist in documenting the damage and file an incident report. It may also be advised that you contact the St. Cloud Police department based on the severity, location and circumstances of the accident.

St. Cloud State is not liable for damages incurred by vehicles parked on university property (parking lots). Vehicle owners park at their own risk.
