David Neumark
David Neumark, Professor of Economics at University of California-Irvine and Senior Fellow, Public Policy Institute of California.
Professor Neumark is an internationally known labor economist who is one of the nation’s experts on racial, gender, age and disability discrimination in the labor market. He has published extensively in the areas of labor market discrimination, minimum wages, education, training and other topics. Professor Neumark previously served on the faculties at Michigan State University and University of Pennsylvania, served as an Economist for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and is both a Research Associate and Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics at Harvard University. Professor Neumark will speak on the Economic ramifications of racial discrimination and policies to combat it.
June E. O'Neill
June E. O’Neill, Wollman Distinguished Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for the Study of Business and Government, Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, City University of New York.
Professor O’Neill has had a distinguished career both in and out of academe. She is an international authority on labor market discrimination and has done extensive research on the gender wage gap. She has published extensively on labor markets and income differences, social security and welfare reform. Professor O’Neill served as Director of the Congressional Budget Office from 1995 to 1999, has served as Chair of the Board of Scientific Counselors at the National Center for Health Statistics since 2003 and has been a Member of the National Bureau of Economic Research since 2003. She also served as Vice President of the American Economic Association and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics at Columbia University Professor O’Neill will speak on the Economic ramifications of gender discrimination and policies to combat it.

Professor Gregory Stutes is the Director of the Center for Economic Education and an Associate Professor of Economics at Minnesota State University – Moorhead. His expertise is in Labor Economics and U.S. economic history and he has published articles in both fields. With over 10 years of experience teaching at the college level, Dr. Stutes brings a variety of skills and experiences to Winter Institute workshops.

Directions
Important parking information for Winter Institute attendees
Attendees can park for free in K lot and ride the Huskey Shuttle bus up to the south side of Stewart Hall. Buses will run every ten minutes and you can wait in the heated Huskey Hub. When boarding the bus, please tell the driver you are a Winter Institute attendee. Pay parking lots are available around campus for $0.50/hour. We recommend that you that not park in the Miller Center (library) pay lot, as that is available only for one hour.
