Dear Huskies,
I’ve now been with SCSU for over two years and I have learned a great deal from #OurSCSU community. There is a great sense of pride amongst our community and that pride is expressed in many ways. I'd like to ask the #OurSCSU community to harness your pride and energy for St. Cloud State into positive outcomes, such as speaking positively about SCSU, highlighting your SCSU story and dispelling rumors when possible. I know this is not easy! As SCSU continues to make necessary changes to strengthen the University and address the challenges facing almost every university and college around the world, I ask for your continued patience and understanding. There will be things you agree with and things you do not; that is natural in any relationship. I ask for you to be a part of our community that works to strengthen SCSU. I appreciate your openness to continuing this journey with us!
One way to continue your journey with us and show your Huskies pride is through Homecoming. Homecoming will be here before you know it, and we encourage everyone in #OurSCSU community to join us! Homecoming kickoff and campfires, planetarium shows, conversations with your dean, recognizing our Alumni Award winners at the #OurSCSU Gala, and an opportunity to reconnect for alumni who graduated in years ending in 4 or 9 are just a few of the fun events planned. We hope you'll join us Oct. 24-26. You can find all the event details and registration info on the Homecoming website.
Additionally, we have an opportunity for you to express interest in attending the SCSU men's hockey game vs. the University of Minnesota on Oct. 5 with Interim President Larry Dietz in the President’s Suite. If you and a guest are interested in attending, please submit your name for a drawing by Sept. 29 here. We will let you know on Oct. 1 if you have been selected.
SCSU needs the support of alumni and friends to lead the pack.
