Farhiya Iman was awarded a 2020 Minnesota Department of Human Services Outstanding Refugee Award. She also previously owned Nori Cafe & Creamery.

In addition, Iman leads classes in teaching others about the Somali culture and language in order to help her community overcome barriers.
