Head Coach, Metro Jets Hockey Club team
B.S., Recreations and Sports Management, 2005
Metro Jets coach Tina Ciraulo made history when she stepped behind the bench as the first female head coach in the United States Premier Hockey League’s eight-season history.
“I don’t think of it as being any different. You prepare the same way and make sure the guys are focused and ready to go,” said Ciraulo, who played four years with St. Cloud State University — three of those seasons with either an “A” or “C” on her jersey.
"My time at St. Cloud State; I had some good times mixed with a lot of hard work. Being a Division I athlete playing hockey at St. Cloud State, I got to meet a lot of great people. Learning from all my teammates, professors and coaches had a part of helping me grow into the person I am today. My teammates became my second family at St. Cloud and turned into some lifelong friends." - Tina Ciraulo '05
