Biography
Dr. Jim Johnson graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in secondary social studies education. He earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, administrative licensure (principal and superintendent) and Ed.D. in Educational Administration and Leadership from St. Cloud State University.
In his career, he has served as a middle school social studies teacher and coach, middle school principal, assistant superintendent, superintendent within the public school system. He also has served as an adjunct professor and assistant professor in educational leadership in higher education. Currently, Dr. Johnson is an assistant professor of K-12 Educational Administration & Leadership here at SCSU.
Professional recognition includes the Kay E. Jacobson Award from MASA, Award of Leadership and Service from MASA, and the Richard Green Scholar from MASA, MASP Administrator of the Year
