Biography

Dr. McCullar joined the Higher Education Administration program at St. Cloud State University  in 2011 after working more than a decade in student affairs. He served as the assistant dean of students at the University of Alabama and associate director of the LSU Student Union and director of programs. Dr. McCullar received his bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis, his master's degree from the University of Arkansas, and his doctorate from Louisiana State University.

As a faculty member at St. Cloud State University, Dr. McCullar has served as the program director for the Higher Education Administration Master's and Doctoral Program. During his tenure, he has been responsible for growing the program and moving it to online delivery in order to meet the growing needs of professionals in the field nationally and globally. He serves as a member of the IFO Executive leadership, is an editor for the Journal of Campus Activities, and has received the Miller Scholar Grant, one of St. Cloud States most prestigious awards for faculty. He also received the NASPA Region IV-E Robert H. Shaffer Award for Academic Excellence as a Graduate Faculty Member Award.

Dr. McCullar  is a champion of belongingness and connection to campus, not only for students but for faculty, staff and administration.
