The ACR Internship Track is a two-year, 38-credit program and includes industry or research hospital work experience.
It is designed for those interested in pivoting their careers toward becoming clinical research professionals. It is suitable for students not currently working in the clinical research profession. For international students, it is a STEM-recognized program for Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Students take a minimum of 8 credits per semester in the fall and spring semesters. Courses are offered on Saturday mornings and weekday evenings.
The industry work experience includeds 4 credits throughout the second year. Students will spend 20-40 hours per week in the clinical research department of a local medical device company or health care organization.
The internship track combines the application of what students have learned in coursework with work experience supervised by clinical research professionals, culminating in a portfolio that documents their experience and the skills they learned.
