Admission Requirements and Details
Doctoral applicants must meet minimum Graduate Studies admission requirements, plus:
- Completion of a master's degree in any field.
- Submission of a professional writing sample, such as master’s research or a master's thesis, published
article , paper prepared for a professional conference, research paper or written analysis of a professional article.

The Higher Education & Student Affairs Ed.D. program begins a new cohort each Fall semester.
The School of Graduate Studies receives and reviews application materials and serves as a liaison between the applicant and the program director. Once all application materials are received, your file is sent to the doctoral program director for review and an interview will be scheduled.
Admission recommendations are finalized and processed by Graduate Admissions shortly after your interview and decision notifications are emailed nightly.
All application materials are completed on GradCAS.
