Higher Education and Student Affairs M.S. and Graduate Certificate

The 15-credit graduate certificate quickly gives you leadership skills and is ideal for people with advanced degrees who lack leadership training or for those who want to begin their graduate degree by gaining leadership skills.

Admission Requirements and Details
The Higher Education & Student Affairs M.S. and graduate certificate programs begin new cohorts each Fall semester.
Priority Deadlines
The priority deadline for applications is January 15 with an additional deadline of March 15. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through August 1.
Applications will be reviewed upon completion of all application materials. Students applying for graduate assistantships and international students are strongly encouraged to apply by the January 15 deadline. Applications received after March 15 will be considered on a space-available basis.
Application
When applying for a master's program, the School of Graduate Studies serves as a liaison between the applicant and the master's program. Application materials are completed online and processed by the School of Graduate Studies.
Once all application materials are received, Graduate Studies will forward materials to the master's program for review and an interview will be scheduled. Thereafter, an admission recommendation will be forwarded to Graduate Studies for a final decision and notification to the applicant.

- Minimum of three recommendation letters
- Unofficial transcripts
- No work experience or GRE admission requirement
- WES or NACES course-by-course transcript evaluation
- English proficiency
- Financial information form
For admission consideration, applicants must meet minimum Graduate Studies admission requirements plus additional program requirements listed below:
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. The degree does not need to be in the Higher Education & Student Affairs field.
