Each spring since 1968, the departments of Mathematics & Statistics and Computer Science & Information Technology have hosted the St. Cloud State Mathematics Contest for students in grades 7-12. Students from Minnesota and Wisconsin compete for individual and team honors at each grade level.

The 2024 St. Cloud State Mathematics Contest was held on April 11 with 912 student participants from grades 7-12 representing 33 schools from Minnesota.
