Graduating PSEO Students
Guidance on your next steps
What Are Your Possible Next Steps?
PSEO students may have the opportunity to earn an Associate of Arts (AA) degree. If you are interesting in completing an A.A. during your time as a PSEO student at St. Cloud State, talk to your advisor as soon as possible.
Admission as a Degree-Seeking Student
Students considering enrolling at St. Cloud State after high school and their PSEO experience must apply for degree-seeking admission to the University by submitting an application for admission and official high school transcripts. Please reach out to the PSEO Team if you have any questions.
Scholarships
All graduating PSEO 12th graders are considered incoming first year students and may be eligible for Incoming First Year Scholarships. To be considered for these academic scholarships, students must be admitted prior to March 1. In addition to academic merit-based scholarships awards through the admissions process, the St. Cloud State University Foundation Offers scholarship gifted by friends and alumni of the University.
Specific to PSEO students, graduating PSEO students may be eligible for the $1000 PSEO Husky Scholarship in their first year following high school graduation. This scholarship is for:
- Students who completed 30+ credits through the SCSU PSEO program and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Students who completed an A.A. degree through the SCSU PSEO program with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Please reach out to a PSEO Counselor for more information about the PSEO Husky Scholarship.
Advising and Registration Days
All PSEO students transitioning into undergraduate students must attend an Advising and Registration Day. Students who earn a minimum of 15 credits of St. Cloud State coursework through the PSEO program will be invited to take advantage of early course registration in April by attending an expedited Advising and Registration Day. Students must be admitted by March 1 for this benefit. Information will be emailed to qualified students by March.
Students who do not meet the minimum credit requirements, did not applying for undergraduate admission by the deadline (March 1) or choose not to schedule and attend an April PSEO advisor meeting are required to attend a full day, summer Advising Day program and will register for courses on that day.
Pro tip: Now that you're becoming an undergraduate student, you'll also be eligible for financial aid, on-campus housing, and many other campus resources. If you have earned college credits through other campuses, send a transcript from that college/university to St.Cloud State to ensure a smooth credit evaluation.
Attending another College/University?
Send an official St. Cloud State transcript to your new school to ensure your credits are evaluated for transfer. Students attending another Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (Minnesota State) campus will not be charged for official transcripts sent. Students attending all other colleges/universities will need to follow the guidelines for sending transcripts.
