Minnesota Indian Teacher Training Program (MITTP)
The Minnesota Indian Teacher Training Program provides scholarships, mentoring and support for American Indian students starting, continuing or completing a teacher preparation program or another eligible program focusing on any area of Pre-K-12 employment.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Priority is given to American Indian students who are tribally enrolled and then to first and second generation descendants.
- St. Cloud State University (undergraduate or graduate) admissions with MITTP eligible major.
- MITTP Scholarship application available below.
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid/FAFSA with financial need that remains unmet by government guidelines and determined by St. Cloud State Financial Aid Office.
- By applying for MITTP you are agreeing to participate in required MITTP support activities at St. Cloud State University, which includes a mentoring seminar with St. Cloud State faculty, Darlene St. Clair.
- In order to participate in the MITTP program, applicants must meet the requirements of their academic program, and your FASFA completed.
