Center for Information Assurance Studies (CIAS)
Center for Information Assurance Studies (CIAS) is an interdisciplinary effort that brings together experts in business and computing to provide a supportive learning environment that challenges students to develop an in-depth knowledge in various domains of information assurance.
The Master of Information Assurance (MSIA) program at St. Cloud State University has been re-designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) through the academic year 2027 by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. This designation makes St. Cloud State eligible to apply for the Cyber Security Program (CySP), which provides student scholarships and stipends. The MSIA program has been continuously designated since 2009.

New Forensics Lab
The Department of Information Systems earned a $316,000 grant through the Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Security Agency (NSA) support student scholarships and a new Digital Forensics Lab.
