Can I apply to the EducationUSA Academy if I am 14 years old?
Applicants to the program must be a high school student (currently enrolled) and ages 15-18 at the time of the summer program.
What level of English proficiency should I have?
All students are expected to have English proficiency that will allow them to engage with our faculty, staff, and their peers. Need to have at least Intermediate Mid-level Skills. Teacher recommendation letter will be used to determine English proficiency eligibility for the program.
Where will I be staying?
You will be living in the St. Cloud State residence halls. Residents have high-speed Internet, cable TV, FREE laundry facility and kitchenettes on each floor. This building is secured 24 hours a day. A male and female counselor will live in the dorms with the students. Students will be separated by gender.
Sheet, pillows,two towels and blankets will be provided.

How safe is SCSU campus?
The Public Safety Department at St. Cloud State is open 24 hours per day. Uniformed Public Safety Officers respond to all safety, security, or medical requests for assistance, provide on-campus escorts, support campus bus services, monitor and respond to all campus “blue lights”, and enforce the university Code of Conduct. Public Safety Officers also work closely with the St. Cloud Police department. All St. Cloud State Public Safety officers go through a rigorous interview process, and criminal background checks.
A rigorous criminal background check is done on all counselors and coordinators.
Where will I eat, and are dietary needs accommodated?
Our Garvey Commons dining facility offers delicious, healthy, dining options. We have programs for students with special dietary requirements such as halal, kosher, vegetarian and vegan.
