The St. Cloud State University Transfer EDVANTAGE Program
EDVANTAGE is designed for students who want to begin their college experience at a Minnesota State community college but are seeking a clear and attainable path to a bachelor’s degree. EDVANTAGE is a “2+2” plan where students spend 2 years at a Minnesota State community college finishing either their Transfer Pathway degree or Associates of Arts degree and then 2 additional years at St. Cloud State University completing their Bachelor’s degree.
Academic Benefits of the SCSU Transfer EDVANTAGE Program
- Guaranteed admission to St. Cloud State University upon completion of the Transfer Pathway degree or Associate of Arts degree at their participating Minnesota State community college
- Students have early access to St. Cloud State advising, activities and classroom experiences
- Transition to university level course work is smoother due to early access to SCSU resources
EDVANTAGE Scholarship awarded the first semester at SCSU
Students with a GPA 3.0 and above are eligible for Red & Black Transfer Scholarship
Participating members are eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship
Financial Benefits of the SCSU Transfer EDVANTAGE Program
- $500 EDVANTAGE Scholarship awarded the first semester a student begins with SCSU
- EDVANTAGE students are strongly encouraged to live on campus at St. Cloud State University and take advantage of the numerous amenities and excellent location or our residential communities
- Advising would be aligned with St. Cloud State program to ensure students aren’t paying for and taking unnecessary courses
- Students are eligible for the Red & Black Transfer Scholarship with a cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Students are eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship if they are a participating member
Getting Started
Beginning in the EDVANTAGE program is simple, select "St. Cloud State EDVANTAGE" on the application to one of our SCSU EDVANTAGE partner institutions. Then work with your community college advisor to ensure you select coursework that will complete your Associates of Arts degree or Transfer Pathway degree.
