One of Minnesota's most comprehensive departments, we specialize in the areas of Geographic Information Science (GIS), Land Surveying and Mapping Sciences, and cultural/physical/regional Geography. We offer cutting-edge research facilities in GIS, image processing and cartography.
Our students study abroad, mature in organizations, network and present at events, gain experience in real-world internships, and leverage the national and international connections of our faculty.
Please note: Although courses successfully completed at a community and technical college may count toward total credits required for a bachelor's degree, such courses will not be counted toward upper division (300 or 400 level) credit. Requests for transferring credits for major requirements and electives need to be addressed to Dr. Gareth John for program consideration.
