Social Work graduate students learn to think critically, and work effectively and collaboratively in the professional world of social services. This program will prepares candidates to promote economic, political and social justice in a diverse and global society as they work as an advanced generalist in a variety of social service settings.
This program uses an anti-oppression lens with a focus on race, class and gender, to inform both its educational environment and educational programs.
Advanced Standings versus Foundations: The Social Work: Advanced Standing program is designed for students who already have an undergraduate degree in Social Work. Prospective students who do not hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Work will be accepted into the Foundations program, which requires additional introductory coursework in the field.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field of social work is projected to grow by nine percent between 2021 and 2031. A MSW will allow you to assume higher-level roles in the field such as social work supervisor.
