The Reading Teacher K-12 graduate certificate program will prepare you to become a specialized teacher of reading K-12 in your district or improve your own classroom instruction. You will receive special instruction on effective instruction and assessment for K-12 students who are struggling in reading.
Program Highlights
- Available as an asynchronous, online program
- Complete in 3 semesters, with start dates in June and August
- Courses may be applied to a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction
Program Distinctions
- Applicants to the Curriculum and Instruction MS (synchronous online) may opt for the Reading Teacher K-12 certificate without additional application fees
- Incorporates Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board standards for licensure as a reading teacher
- The College of Education and Learning Design is accredited by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board
