Service Learning

As a Languages and Cultures student, you will get the opportunity to apply your classroom learning in the community, which in turn enriches the learning in the classroom.

Our community partners include:

• Spanish Immersion Program at Clearview Elementary
• Casa Guadalupe in Cold Springs
• English-Language instructors at Apollo High School, St. Cloud
• Stearns History Museum in St. Cloud
• St. Ben’s Senior Care Center
• Great River Public Library
• Roosevelt Early Childhood Education Center

We have offered the following classes with a service-learning component:

• German 102, 201+202, 301+302, 325, 460 and 457
• Spanish 411, 450, in our education program abroad in Chile and 457

We also have a departmental course, LC 445, dedicated to service-learning.
