Be Ready to Learn Online
An online program offers a lot of flexibility. In order to get the most out of this benefit, a personal computer with internet access is essential for completing assignments and interacting with others.
Online courses at St. Cloud State schools are delivered using D2L Brightspace. Before using D2L Brightspace, make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements:
- Web browser has JavaScript and Cookies enabled.
- Access to your St. Cloud State email, the official form of communication with your professors.
- Sound card with speakers/headphones for multimedia learning.
- Standard versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (free for SCSU students).

Online Tutoring
Free access to Tutor.com
Tutor.com is a free online tutoring and academic support tool which allows all St. Cloud State students to access an extensive list of online tutoring.
Huskies get a tutor 24/7 in more than 40 subjects including Math, Science, Social Studies, English, AP® Support, Foreign Languages, and Business. Tutoring sessions take place in our easy-to-use online classroom, which runs in your web browser.
Minnesota State has purchased 15 hours of Tutor.com tutoring for every student.
Log into your D2L Brightspace homepage; under "Resources" access "Tutor.com".

On Campus Tutoring
Many departments on campus offer free tutoring services to students. Visit the Academic Support Services website for a full list of departments that offer free tutoring services.
