Permits, Pricing, and Refunds

St. Cloud State has 25 surface lots, 8 metered pay lots, 20 fifteen-minute spaces and 1 parking ramp. Most surface lots require a parking permit to park on campus and are specifically designated to either resident students, commuter students or employees.

Student parking permits are also available for evening students and parking within the 4th Avenue Parking Ramp.

Student Waiting Lists

If a surface lot is sold to capacity, students are welcome to add themselves to the waiting list of any desired student surface lot. However, it is recommended that all students purchase an available parking permit while waiting for the desired surface lot.

Most employee surface lots are unavailable for immediate purchase and are on a waiting list. Speak with Parking Services for verification on which employee surface lots are available for purchase

Additional Employee Permits

Employee parking permits are available for evening employees and parking within the 4th avenue parking ramp.

Duplicate parking permits are available for purchase to employees that drive multiple vehicles (only one vehicle can be parked on campus at a time).

Employee Waiting Lists Employees may elect to be placed on any surface lot waiting list by contacting Parking Services via email or phone. 

Permit Pricing

Pricing for student and employee permits can be found in the tables below. 

Summer Permits
Non-refundable summer parking permits are available for $66 and are valid from May 16 through August 4.

Guest Permits
Guest parking permits can be purchased directly at the Public Safety office at the rates of $5.00 (half day) or $10.00 (full day). Additional charges incur for evening and/or overnight parking.
