Get Involved as a Student of Social Work

Learning how to seize opportunities is a critical part of becoming a social worker. We strongly encourage our students to seek out involvement on campus or within the community with these resources:

• Collaborate in the community with the Department of Campus Involvement
• Participate in a campust student club such as the Social Work Association
• Use a job or internship to network and expand your skill set
• Study abroad to expand your world view
• Become a nominee for the Excellence in Leadership Award
• Join a professional association at a free or reduced student rate
