Campus Visit: Group Visits

Show your youth what the Husky Life has to offer

Let Us Show You the Husky Life

St. Cloud State offers tailored group tours and experiences for youth in grades 3-8 and 9-12.

Take a tour of our beautiful campus with a current St. Cloud State student, visit a residential hall, and request to meet with specific programs and services. Experience what it’s like to be a Husky!

Group visits are available upon request and availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September through May (limited availability June, July and August). We are unable to accommodate requests during our Winter Break and finals weeks.

Fill out the form linked below to begin the process of scheduling a group campus visit. Group tours are given on a first-come, first-serve basis and we ask to allow 2-3 weeks to plan, process and prepare for your visit.

Group Visit Guidelines and Tips

Plan Ahead, How to Dress, Arrival, Expectations, Group Safety and the Fun Factor

In order for us to be a great host, please follow the guidelines and tips to ensure your visit is a pleasant experience for everyone.

Plan ahead!
The SCSU campus community needs 2-3 weeks notice to plan and process your group visit. Due to limited available dates and other campus events, we operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. We suggest having an alternate date in mind upon requesting a visit. A confirmation email and agenda will be emailed to you when your request date/time is approved by your admissions representative.

Pro tip: In order to provide accommodations for your group visit we ask that you receive a confirmation email before bringing your students to campus so that we can plan and prepare appropriately.

What to wear?
Your visit will include a one-hour walking tour of the campus. Encourage your students to wear comfortable shoes and dress for that day's weather. We give tours in rain, snow and shine!

Arrival
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your admission presentation and campus tour time. If your group is running late, please contact your admission representative to make necessary arrangements. Groups arriving more than 15 minutes late are not guaranteed their full agenda, but we will do our best to accommodate you.

Canceling your Campus Visit
Please notify us at least two days in advance. Contact your admission representative or the Admission Office at (320) 308-3981.

Note: St. Cloud State University reserves the right to deny a visit request in the future if your group cancels a campus visit trip.

Expectations
Standard group campus visit last 1.5-3 hours and consists of the following:

  • Admissions Presentation and Video - Thirty-minutes (30 minutes)
  • Campus Tour - One-hour (1 hour)

Additional requests for your group to experience from our specific departments, offices, facilities and/or campus dining, please work with the appropriate Admissions Representative to plan accordingly. Requests are contingent upon availability of building hours and staff/faculty.

Group Safety
All groups are required to have a chaperone to student ratio of 15:1. Chaperones are responsible for monitoring and ensuring proper behavior of their students. Remind the students of the importance of being quiet in the academic buildings to respect the learning environment of our students, faculty, and staff.

Summer visits are able to accommodate up to 30 students; 80 max during fall/spring semesters.

If your group exceeds the maximum for accommodation, we will provide a Self-Guided Tour Brochure for the campus tour portion of your visit.

Let's Have Fun!
Stay engaged with us during your visit! Ask questions during your presentation, tour, and additional activities. Each student and chaperone will receive a goodie bag from SCSU, and we have special giveaways for Q&A sessions.
