What can we help you prepare for today?
Semester Program Costs
One semester at Alnwick costs approximately $8,000 and includes:
- Accommodation in a shared room
- Most meals: Monday-Thursday while classes are in session
- Airfare and transportation to/from Alnwick (unless noted otherwise)
- Class field trips and activities
- GeoBlue international health insurance
- 24-hour staff support
- Campus administration fees
- Textbooks for British Studies courses
Program fees do not include:
- Tuition
- Passport application and fees
- Required textbooks for online
- Supplementary textbooks and supplies
- Weekend meals
- Special class fees
- Personal expenses
Personal expenses may also be influenced by a student's individual lifestyles while abroad.
Short-Term Program Costs
Short-term programs in Alnwick are a unique education abroad experience that take place during Winter Break, Spring Break, and summer sessions. Most program fees include:
- Accommodation in a shared room

Scholarships
Through generous donations St. Cloud State University is able to make the Alnwick experience more accessible to many more Huskies through Alnwick-specific scholarships. General scholarship awards may also be applied to offset the cost of tuition.
We encourage students to search for apply for a wide range of scholarships through Huskies Scholarships in addition to seeking funding through the Fund for Education Abroad, Lord Acton Memorial Scholarship, or Gilman International Scholarship.
Fund for Education Abroad
Fund for Education Abroad provides scholarships and support to students with a financial need who are underrepresented among the U.S. study-abroad population.

The Lord Acton Memorial Scholarship provides a student with financial support to pursue academic study in the United Kingdom. This scholarship requires the program to be part of the AASAP/UK so it is only available for students studying abroad on the Alnwick program.

England is a part of Great Britain and their currency is the Pound Sterling/GBP. The symbol for the GBP is £. The easiest way to find the exchange rate is online or through an app such as XE Currency to see current exchange rates.
Your credit and debit cards will work abroad but you will want to check with your bank to find out what types of international fees are applied. Exchange U.S. Dollars (USD), at a bank or kiosk. Cash is often easy to find at most ATMs.
Pro tip: Notify your bank that you will be traveling outside of the country so your account is not frozen due to international transactions.
