AI in Art
About AiAiO
In the Spring of 2025, Professor Rosemary Williams and the students in ART 453 Digital Projects: AI & Creativity worked with AI & Visualization Lab Engineer Mark Gill to train their own AI on art department student, alumni and faculty artwork. They built a Low Rank Adaptor (LoRA) on a non-networked computer in the Viz Lab where they could design their own data set and work within an ethically boundaried space to experiment with what AI technology can do. They named it AiAiO.
According to the opt-in agreement which defines the parameters of the project, any images generated with this AI by members of the class, or in future usage by faculty or students of the art program, must credit the artists who contributed work for the training of AiAiO, by listing the authorship as being “in collaboration with AiAiO,” with a link to this page.
