Swim Instructor Training
St. Cloud State University students, faculty, staff and community members who need CPR and First Aid certification can train in Campus Recreation sessions.
Register in person at the Campus Recreation Guest Services desk in the Student Recreation Center.
- Classes must have a minimum of five participants. Full refund given if not filled.
- Cancellation will result in a 50 percent refund.

Classes
Adult CPR / AED :: Training Sessions Scheduled
- $80, students, faculty, staff and community members
- Space is limited to 10 participants
- Participants must be 17 years old prior to the start of the course
Combined training to learn:
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- How to use an AED for adults.
- How to recognize and respond to emergencies.
Successful students receive a two-year American Red Cross certification in:
- CPR/AED for adults.
Adult / Children / Infant CPR, AED and First Aid
Information:
- $75, students, faculty and staff.
- $90, community members

- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- How to use an AED for adults, children or infants.
- Basic First Aid for recognizing and responding to emergencies.

We are not offering this training at this time, however, training may be scheduled if we get enough interest.

- Recognizing and responding to emergency situations.
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- How to use an AED for Adults/Children/Infants.
- Basic First Aid.
Successful students receive a two-year American Red Cross certification in:
- CPR.
- AED.
- First Aid for adults, children and infants.
New Lifeguard Training :: Training Sessions Scheduled
For those 15 and older who would like to become a certified American Red Cross lifeguard.
- Cost: $240 (includes materials).
- Location: Halenbeck Pool
- Space is limited to 10 participants
- Participants must be 15 years old prior to the start of the course
Successful participants receive a two-year Red Cross certification for:
- Lifeguarding.
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- AED for lifeguards.
- First Aid.
Lifeguard Recertification
We are not offering this training at this time, however, training may be scheduled if we get enough interest.
For anyone who has earned a Lifeguard certification within the last four years and has been expired for no more than one year.
