Training required for independent usage by Faculty and Staff:

Attended SEM/EDS Manufacturers Training + 7 hours
In-house training for SEM/EDS + 15 hours
AFM training (on a case by case basis)

Student Training Requirements

Accessing calendars

Once you receive confirmation that you have been granted access to an instrument, you will then be able to see and schedule time on that instrument's calendar. To do this:

Login to your Outlook Calendar with your St. Cloud State email address and StarID password.
In the calendar list on the left, under Rooms, you should find the instrument(s) that you have been assigned access to schedule:
- cmia_afm_iself23b
- cmia_eds_iself23c
- cmia_xrd_iself23a
Select the one that you want to schedule time for.
Click on the calendar where there is free time that you want to schedule and enter title and time frame needed. Click Save.
To delete a previously scheduled timeslot that you created, click on it and click Delete. Confirm by clicking the Delete button on the Delete event window.
