Cathy Krier
Current professor and director of the nation's first (and finest) graduate programs focused on Medical Device Regulatory Affairs, Cathy Krier has contributed to academia for the past five years based on her 20 years of medical device industry experience in a variety of roles such as clinical, quality, regulatory and business management.
Cathy's academic contributions are focused on student success as the program expanded during her tenure to offer internships and graduate certificate degree pathways. She also played a pivotal role in the development of the Medical Technology Quality CETYS partnership and the development of the College of Science and Engineering Strategic Plan 2022.
Prior to academia, Cathy contributed to the commercialization of software and firmware powered pneumatic and elector-mechanical medical devices such as anesthesiology systems as well as cardiac and vascular solutions.
Cathy’s responsibilities were enriched with risk and commercial release management leadership initiatives that supported the release of complex implantable device therapies and improved the commercialization process across several businesses.
Cathy also served as a business leader that influenced organizational change in talent acquisition while contributing to and implementing a corporate-wide recruiting blueprint for change. She prides herself in supporting diverse engineers and professionals in pursuit of their career goals.
