Law Enforcement Driving Programs
The EVOC refreshers include a PIT refresher. This course meets and exceeds minimum standards of the POST Board licensing requirement.

Law Enforcement-Licensed (Hybrid EVOC) Refresher
8:30 a.m.– 2:30 p.m.
8 POST credits
This Hybrid EVOC is a blended course with 2 hours online and 6 hours in vehicle. It is designed to cut down on officer’s overtime.
In order to register for this course, we must have the officer’s full name, POST# and valid email. The officer will receive an email with instructions for logging into the online portion. The online portion must be completed prior to attending class. The day of the class will be 6 hours of driving and no classroom.
NOTE: PIT-certified officers will be given a PIT Refresher, at no additional cost if requested prior to the class date.

Pursuit Intervention Tactics (PIT) Hybrid

8 POST credits
This stand-alone course does not meet the POST mandate as an EVO refresher.
This course consists of an online learning component and behind-the-wheel training.
In order to register for this course, we must have the officer’s full name, POST# and valid email. The officer will receive an email with instructions for logging into the online portion. The online portion must be completed prior to attending class. The day of the class will be 6 hours of driving and no classroom.
Officers will use the PDCM's custom-designed vehicles to ensure safety. Upon completion, officers will be capable of maneuvering a suspect's vehicle to a specific targeted point, relative to the roadway. Each officer will work from basic pacing techniques up to and including the full PIT maneuver. Officers will experience this technique from the officers' position as well as the suspect's perspective.
Prerequisites
- Participants must be licensed officers
- Officers must have been EVOC certified within the past five years
Evening EVOC with Low Light Code 3 and PIT Refresher Hybrid
5 – 11 p.m.

This course consists of an online learning component and behind-the-wheel training.
In order to register for this course, we must have the officer’s full name, POST# and valid email. The officer will receive an email with instructions for logging into the online portion. The online portion must be completed prior to attending class. The day of the class will be 6 hours of driving and no classroom.
This EVO refresher has a heavier emphasis on the PIT refresher, with a daylight PIT refresher and low light PITS. Non PIT certified officers experience a low light Code 3.

Advanced Driving Skills (ADS) for Non-Sworn Law Enforcement
Advanced Driving Skills (ADS) for Non-Sworn Law Enforcement: 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Courses are 1.5 hours online and 5 hours of in vehicle. Designed for law enforcement professionals who respond to non-emergency calls. Officers responding to emergency calls should take the EVOC course.

Traffic Incident Management (TIM)
An alarming number of emergency responders are struck, injured or killed, by passing motorists while working at roadway incidents.
Our Traffic Incident Management course teaches a planned and coordinated multi-disciplinary process to detect, respond to, and clear traffic incidents so that traffic flow may be restored as safely and quickly as possible. Effective TIM reduces the duration and impacts of traffic incidents and improves the safety of motorists, crash victims and emergency responders.
You can take our 3-hour course at the PDCM facility or your own facility.
On-Duty Ride Along for Law Enforcement
Do you have an officer who is having problems that are not covered in our regular courses?
PDCM-certified instructors will come to your location, on any shift, and ride with your officer. Instruction will be offered to help the officer, regarding safe driving issues. You have the option of a written evaluation after the ride along.
This one-on-one evaluation will educate officers who are experiencing driving difficulties or have high accident rates.
Rates are hourly starting from the time the instructor leaves the PDCM and ending when they return.

Pre-Licensed Law Enforcement (EVOC)
Pre-Licensed Law Enforcement (EVOC): Participants in this program must be sponsored by a partnering school. This course will cover entry-level skills needed for Law Enforcement Driving in Code 3 and pursuits. This course will meet and exceed the minimum standards established by the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Board.
