Event insurance is required to host a wedding at Atwood. The required Certificate of Liability should state general liability coverage terms equal to or greater than $1,000,000.00 per occurrence as well as $1,000,000.00 aggregate. Insurance can be completed through TULIP (fill out the online form). Once the transaction is completed, copies of the application and certificate of insurance will be emailed to dana.randt@stcloudstate.edu.

All food & beverage served must be provided by Huskies Dining. The Huskies Dining team of catering professionals can assist you with planning every aspect. The team has designed a variety of menus to fit a wide range of tastes and budgets, including regional ingredients, university favorites, and specialty items. Huskies Dining will create the menu you want.

Guests are permitted to bring their own wedding/event cake. Huskies Dining can also provide cakes and cake cutters are available for an additional fee.

The Conference and Scheduling Office will work with you to establish a time for you to access the room for decorations. Our staff will work with any professional decorator if you choose to hire one.

Candles are allowed, but the flame must be contained in a glass or fireproof container that will collect the wax and be at least as high as the flame. No glitter, confetti, fog machines, or pyrotechnics are allowed in the building.

Decorations must be removed at the end of the event unless special arrangements are made with the Conference and Scheduling Office.

Tablecloths and skirting can be requested with any catering order. Other tables, such as gift tables, can be skirted and covered by request at no additional charge from Atwood. Atwood tables are round and 60 inches wide, which can accommodate 6-8 guests each.

St. Cloud State has numerous parking options. A 500-space parking ramp is located just west of Atwood Memorial Center, as well as surface lots close to Atwood Memorial Center. Street parking is allowed on some city streets (restrictions are posted).

Visitor Parking

There is no additional cost for the use of our built-in equipment, such as microphones, house sound system, dimmable lighting, and internet access. An AV technician is required for the use of the ballroom.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own technical equipment or hire a DJ for music and entertainment at their event.

Our professional scheduling staff will work with you to schedule and make arrangements for the room setup. On the day of the event, a Building Manager will be in the building for the entire time.

The catering staff will also have a catering manager on site.

AMC event venues are located on the second level and are serviced by three elevators: a service elevator adjacent to the loading dock and back hallway of the ballroom, plus two public elevators.
