Parking and Transportation
Parking and Transportation
Campus safety includes making sure students know where to park and how to navigate campus and the local community. We often remind students to stay alert and travel with confidence, while providing key information on campus and community logistics.
Stay Safe Resources
Emergency (Blue Light) Phones
For added safety, students and employees should be aware of Emergency (Blue Light) Phones and elevator call box telephones located throughout campus. The “Blue Light” phones are made visible by a blue light globe on the top of these stations. When properly activated, these phones directly dial the on-duty Public Safety dispatcher. Users should push the red button on the face of the box to communicate with a dispatcher. Public Safety will know your location and immediately dispatch an officer to assist.
Metro Bus Rides
Students are encouraged to take advantage of St. Cloud State’s partnership with St. Cloud Metro Bus. Show your campus ID card and ride any of the regular Metro Bus routes for free. The bus is a safe, reliable, and convenient way to travel across St. Cloud and the nearby cities of Sartell, Waite Park, and Sauk Rapids.
Escorted Walks
An on-campus (walking) safety escort is provided by Public Safety for members of the University community. Escorts may be requested by calling (320) 308-3333 and will be provided as other safety and security duties permit.
