Transferology allows the student to run a “what if” audit for any undergraduate program. A “what if” audit automatically shows what and how completed course work will apply to the new major.
If you have a question about an item on your audit pertaining to your requirements or if something seems off, contact your advisor.
- An audit is not a replacement for an advisor. While an audit is an advising tool, it is strongly encouraged to meet with an advisor to plan out needed courses.
- An audit does not replace the registration process, but will tell the student what is needed to complete.
- An audit does not substitute other University records, including the University catalog, program policies, or student transcripts.
YES! It is very important for you to consult your advisor when reading your audit. Your advisor can help you interpret the audit and give you other information related to your program of study and graduation plan.
Please work with your advisor to confirm any audit changes and to learn how to submit these updates.
You can locate your advisor information through Advisor Lookup or view your degree audit. Should you choose to request a new advisor, please work with Advising and Student Transitions.
Your audit will automatically update when your new major has been approved by the academic department and processed by Records and Registration.
Make sure that your most recent transcript has been sent from your previous institution(s) and received by St. Cloud State University. Depending upon the time of the year, the evaluation process could take 10 business days. Any changes posted to your academic record will also update on your degree audit.
When transfer courses are not appearing as you have hoped, it is likely that they have not been evaluated to match a specific course in your major. Contact your major advisor and review the Transfer Review Process for options.
The audit may show a different number of total credit hours than the St. Cloud State University academic record. There are a couple of reasons this could happen, however one of the most common is that the audit counts 100+ level course credits towards the degree while the St. Cloud State University transcript accounts for all course credits taken (even if the course is below the 100 level).
