Cost of Semester at SCSU
One of the biggest questions students face when deciding to study abroad is the cost of the program. Find the cost estimate for upcoming semesters below.
The Semester at SCSU cost includes:
- tuition (tuition is waived if exchange)
- fees
- housing
- meal plan
- mandatory health insurance
- orientation
- airport pick up
- student support services
- programming/events
All costs below are in USD and credits are U.S. credits. All Semester at SCSU students are mandated to carry university provided insurance. Insurance estimates for the upcoming term are subject to change.
The following costs are not included in the package price:
- personal expenses
- books
- supplies
- Online differential tuition
- course specific fees
- any additional costs associated with residential halls such as linens, refrigerator rentals, etc.

Semester at SCSU Fee
All Semester at SCSU students (exchange, fee-paying and IEC), are charged a $500 Semester at SCSU fee per semester. This fee covers the following expenses:
- Airport pickup
- Orientation
- Cultural Excursions designed for exchange students free of charge such as:
- Minnesota State Fair
- Haunted House (Halloween)
- Mall of America
- Snow tubing
- Duluth, Minnesota (Lake Superior)
- And much more!
