Health insurance for current students
Current international students must pay for health insurance each year. Rates are subject to change.
- The rate is $2,289.00 for the period Aug. 10, 2023 - Aug. 9, 2024.
- If you do not pay for your health insurance in full, your Fall semester courses will be dropped. A hold will then be placed on your account until the amount is paid in full.
Visit the Student Registration and Financial Services website to make your payment.
"Why do I have a hold on my account?"
Reason #1: You have not yet provided your immunization record to the Medical Clinic.
Proof of immunization is required by Minnesota law. Submit your information online or in-person at the Medical Clinic.
Reason #2: You have not yet completed your Tuberculosis (TB) screening at the Medical Clinic.
International students are required to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) screening the first week they arrive on campus. Students not meeting this requirement will have a hold placed on registration for future semesters. Schedule an appointment or call 320-308-3191 to arrange a TB screening.
Government-sponsored student exemption
To receive a waiver from St. Cloud State's international insurance requirement, students must provide proof of full coverage in the United States through their government-sponsored insurance.
